I expected the color/pattern on these lens to be quite visible, but it's not at all! I even tried taking images with flash and all there is, is a subtle dark brown ring. The pattern cannot be seen and the color is extremely dark. It's pretty much the same color as natural Asian eye colors. But the enlargement is very nice. I think this might be the same as those black enlargement lenses (ex. Barbie kind), but with a brown tint. I didn't experience any discomfort, other than it drying out my eyes within few hours.
